Space Availability

Group Study Rooms

Group study rooms are available during Library opening hours (on the hour) to registered students who wish to work together on projects and assignments. The rooms are equipped as follows:

  • Whiteboard and pens
  • Internet PC
  • LCD Screen
  • Wi-Fi

How to book a room:

  • Select the Room you wish to book
  • Select the date and time you require (if a room is free the time slot will be green, if the room is booked for that time the time slot will be red)
  • Press Submit Request
  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions
  • Enter your Name, NUIG Email Address and the reason for booking
  • When ready click on Submit my Booking
  • You will receive a confirmation email to your NUIG email address
  • Please cancel the booking in advance if you do not require the room
  • All rooms are unlocked, the white board markers/erasers are in the room

Rules and Regulations for Group Study Room Use

  • Group Study Rooms are available to registered NUIG Students only
  • You must book a room with your NUIG email address
  • A maximum of two hours per day can be booked
  • Bookings can be made up to one week in advance
  • Groups must consist of two people or more
  • Completed bookings will trigger an automatic confirmation email – remember to share the time and room location with your group
  • Rooms that remain unoccupied 10 minutes after the allotted start time are deemed vacant and will be available to others to use
  • Phone or email bookings are not possible
  • If you no longer need your booking, please remember to cancel it as soon as possible
